Message from Dr. Silverstein
These are difficult times for everyone, and my priority is doing what I can to keep everyone safe and "flatten the curve."
My office is currently closed for regular business, and I don't know when we will be able/allowed to re-open. In the mean time, as long as I am healthy, I will do what I can to take care of true emergencies (like a wire is doing major damage to your cheek or something). For a true emergency, call my office number, and you will be redirected to my cell phone. I do not have patients' cell numbers stored on my phone, so if you call, I will not know who you are. If you need to leave a message, you need to clearly, slowly, state your name or child's name (first AND last name).
If you are in treatment with Invisalign, you should stretch out the wearing time to 3 or 4 weeks - as long as the trays look like they are holding up.
Don't worry. Whatever happens, we will be able to get you back on track and everything will wind up being OK. Just keep your teeth clean - that's the main proactive thing you can do to mitigate the delay.
Check back here as often as you like. I will post updates with dates as warranted.
Please keep yourself safe, and behave in a way that minimizes the chance that you get the virus, and that you don't spread it to other people even if you don't have symptoms.
Please see the recommendations from the American Association of Orthodontists.
Office is closed. Anticipated re-open date is 6/1.
